Our Mission
Originally founded in 1988 by David L. Oldani , Four-D
Software, Inc (Four-D) is an established medical software development company
focused on the creation, integration and service of infrastructure products and
departmental systems for medical educators and students. Four-D currently has major
medical technology systems in operation, including a suite of web-based
applications better known as ‘Medatrax’, now operational and supporting Nurse Anesthesia,&
Nurse Practitioner, & Nurse Midwife programs throughout the United States.
Four-D’s state-of the-art products employ Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server relational
database technologies.
A Little History...
Four-D is a small company doing BIG things.
Our accomplishments have included:
 | A NASA project which rehosted the
shuttle launch/land mainframe database into a PC for local access in a distributed network
environment.

National Guard: a prototype development of a GPS based Satellite Tracking System
- the Heavy Armor Range & Live Fire Training System.

Products & Technology

Document Delivery (MedPort) - Internal and external document distribution and
delivery via FAX, email (encrypted and unencrypted), and print for institutional physicians,
medical practices, and clinics. This fully automated open and scaleable technology can replace
DOS/Windows/Unix based proprietary technologies or integrate as a new installation. MedPort
distributes an extremely large volume of medical data.

Procedural Tracking and Charging via our Diagnostic Neurology Departmental System
Application (DNA) - this automated system manages all aspects of daily departmental
operations for orders covering such stages as reception, transcription, physician authentication
and charging. DNA client and server software components are fully integrated into the medical
institution communications infrastructure.

Admission-Discharge & Transfer (ADT) Transaction Interface – this is a real-time interface
capable of processing 100+ transactions per minute. These institutional level transactions
received from various input sources represent real-time patient transactions effecting
patient/physician demographics and encounters, as well as patient registrations, admissions,
discharges, transfers, and merges. Supporting desktop applications complement this interface
for the purpose of administering transaction exceptions.

Transcription Archival and Print System (TAPS) - This transcription archival, viewing and
print system stores patient transcription documents and assessments in a continuous time line
without document type or patient limits. Supporting desktop applications complement this
interface for the purpose of searching document histories, cross-referencing patient information
and administering transaction exceptions.

Institutional Directory Server (Phone Book) - This web-based server manages all aspects of
data collection and formatting for an institution’s telephone directory. The Four-D Phone Book
application receives input from each institutional source and formats it for final print output.

Patient Survey and Print Application (PRMAIL) - This application supports Patient-Relations
and Mail Department services by providing sampling and population control. Both sticky label
printing and synchronized post card printing encompass the spectrum of institutional
inpatient/outpatient/departmental needs.

Certification Case Record Management for Nursing Anesthesiology (Medatrax) - A web-based
registered nursing anesthesiology certification (CRNA) case record management program.
Medatrax automates and supports the national certification requirements of any CRNA teaching
institution with departmental tracking and student case record criteria management. Medatrax
includes administrative controls, includes student critical paths, and provides a full range
of summary and detailed reports.

technology designed in compliance with Advanced practing Nursing encounter Standards to
automates a variety of Practitioner specialties for student and educators. Medatrax(NP)

of summary and detailed reports for students and administrators.

All Four-D systems employ real-time TCP/IP interfaces and are capable of receiving and storing
HL7 documents. Features include: maintenance of patient demographic, encounter management,
distribution list maintenance, and patient-physician master relationships.
